My wife and I are flying to Cozumel soon, and have a layover at DFW. Any decent beers in the airport? We're flying American.
    Thanks.

I assume you're going to be in Terminal D (Intl terminal)... not that it really matters much. Terminal D has a better selection re: food, but really the beer selections are pretty weak throughout DFW airport. Tigrin Pub is probably your best bet, but I'm not promising anything beyond the standard british brews. They do have a nice selection of Irish whisky though =P

Blue Mesa Taco in terminal D has Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat on tap. My go to at DFW.

They had bottles of Rahr IPA earlier this week, which was pretty good. Nothing special on draft.

It's probably Buffalo Butt from Rahr, we don't get Tallgrass in Texas.

I thought I heard some place with a few craft options was going into Terminal A. No idea whether it is open or what it was called.

Cozumel is a lot of fun. I'm not sure which airport you are flying into in Mexico but the duty free shops there have decent prices on liquor. The local shops will have good prices on tequilas and other liquors you may not find in the airport.

I am still waiting for someone to invest a large portion of money to me to start up a chain of "local" beer bars at airports that only have 20 taps but they are only from that city/region.

    And do growler fills.

I haven't been there in almost a year, but every time I've been there, Pappadeaux's (near A-24) had Harpoon IPA on tap - and a couple of other less memorable craft offerings. I'm not a huge Harpoon IPA fan, but it works well w/ the Cajun food.

Got an hour layover in DFW on Sunday. From what I can tell from this thread, my best bet is to try to find some Rahr and Sons.... Any updates or new arrivals?

You won't get anything worth a damn in DFW still.

An hour may not even give you enough time to hunt down an "ok" rahr and sons beer.

Terminal A Ling and Louie's has several craft options. (across from TGI Fridays).
Enjoying a Obsidian stout on draft.

Founders All Day IPA was on tap at the terminal D Admirals Club a couple of weeks ago. Seems like the Admirals Club has at least a couple of good offerings most of the time now. Also have seen Lakewood and Franconia in there before.

Is the info in this thread still pretty valid? Not in the offerings, but the restaurants/bars in specific terminals?

No new craft beer bars have opened in the airport.
