I have a friend from Anchorage who is coming east for a couple weeks and will be visiting me in VT for a few days in early to mid October. She has offered to bring a couple of her locals. I've had most of distro'ed Anchorage Brewing, so, what else is there? Thanks and cheers!
Looks like Midnight Sun Brewing in Anchorage makes a few sours. Also try their Berserker Imerial Stout if you haven't already, it's outstanding. Resolution Brewing Company has made a couple saisons. Cynosure Brewing does some Belgian styles. 49th State Brewing does a few Belgian styles.
Can't recall having any sours from any Alaska brewery, but, if you like Smoked Beers, even a little, have her bring some Alaskan Smoked Porter, whatever vintages. Even if they are all the most recent. Stuff is excellent fresh, and ages exceptionally well. I've had it up to 10 years, and, well, damn.
I think Midnight Sun just started a series of wilds/sours, and have two or three out already?? Not sure of the details. The only other sour I recall from them recently is Buzzwinkle.
