    Hi folks,

I’d love to spend a few days in Albuquerque but I’ll take what I can get. In this instance that means one night—and an easy-going one at that, as I’ll have a 12 hour haul ahead of me the next day. My last visit I stopped at Marble and I’d be happy to make a repeat visit—but I’m also eyeing La Cumbre. I’ll have room for a grower and maybe a sixer or a few bombers too. So locals, if you had to choose just one place to relax and enjoy yourself mid-way on a road trip which would it be?

Rio rancho has a nice little brew pub called turtle mountain brewing co. They have pretty good brews and great pizza. I think they will fill growlers but I am not sure.

Here's what I would do: Start at Chama River Microbar on 2nd near Central. Walk two blocks to Anodyne and have La Cumbre's Elevated IPA (Gold Medal for IPA at GABF), then walk or cab over to Marble to end your night.

It's going to be more of an "afternoon" than a "night" only because I have a 12-18 hour haul ahead of me the next day. I probably won't be staying near downtown this time, tho the pub crawl itinerary
sounds like fun. Will New Mexico allow me to fill my (out-of-state) growler? And what's the going rate for fills in the area? Any deals/specials/one-shot recommendations?
Here's some exclamation points to show how much I'm looking forward to my too-brief visit: !!!
    Thanks!

Marble is my favorite spot at which to hang, but if you want something different this time I'd say to hit Il Vacino's canteen. They have outstanding IPAs (and other brews) and a great atmosphere. Then, you can walk to La Cumbre (it's literally only blocks away) to get some Elevated cans and/or growler fill. Il V will also fill your growler, as will Marble. Typical price will be between $8-$10.

Is La Cumbre really CANning the Elevated IPA? If so, I am interested in a trade.

Definitely get you some La Cumbre Elevated IPA, the 4pks are extremely fresh, just got another batch at my store today that was canned today (7-5-12)!!! Kelly Liquors on Juan Tabo just north of Constitution. Amazing stuff
