We grabbed a case of Crusher and a case of Focal Banger at the Alchemist Tent sale Saturday. We hadn't really thought about trading, but we have a bunch and locals are offering. Of course trading is all about making sure both parties get what they want, and not always $4$. Problem is we aren't sure what we want or what it should be worth to us. We drove 700 miles and stood in the rain for several hours. We want things we have never tried. Should we ask for things that are similar in rarity (and would that be like once per year brewery-only releases) without considering price? Or consider AMOUNT of beer (i.e, we should get 2-3 bombers for a 4-pk of 16 ouncers)? If all beers involved beers are not available locally, should we then just go $4$, or is it wiser to think about things like how often beers are released and how many of them were made?

For example, we were offered a Surly Pentagram for 4-5 Focal Bangers. Costwise, this not too far off, but would 2 Focal Bangers for the Surly be more reasonable? We want to be fair and not douchy, but also don't want to just hand out our awesome fresh IPA's recklessly.

Id stick $4$ with things that are in the same rarity like you said. Id search to see what its going for in other posts and get an idea from there.

Cant really factor in drive time/miles/time spent waiting for it while trading. If that was the case the Dark Lords I got this year would be trading stupid high.

You are stressing about these like theyre DQ and M. My advice is to drink the awesome beers you acquired.

Drink them and share them with friends for nothing more than the satisfaction of the look on their faces and their company. You can trade other stuff for other stuff anytime, but you aren't likely to make that trek for those beers again anytime soon.

Nah no driving points, put up an ISO and see what happens. I'd drink them, but that's me.

Hand them out recklessly. It's more fun that way.

Thanks for everyone's interest in trading and thank you all for your advice. We did a little trading with local crafters in our area and have decided just to share with those we know personally. Thanks for your replies. Cheers.
