Alchemist Cases

Seeing that this is the most recent Heady Topper thread, I'll post this question here. I'll be up in Vermont from July 4th-July 7th. Seeing that the 4th is on a Friday and places like Hunger Mountain Coop is closed, when would they get their Heady Topper shipments? I'm trying to figure out if I'll have to leave a bit later on Monday to ensure that I'll actually get some this time around.

 

Planning a quick trip for a case of Heady today. Winooski Beverage facebook page says the release 1/2 the cases in the A.M. and the other half at 5. Can I expect to grab a case if I get there around 1? I really don't want to wait til 5. Thanks for any advise.

 

You should call Hunger Mountain and ask them. If they are scheduled for delivery on the 4th and are closed, then they might have worked something out with the Alchemist. Just remember, this is Vermont. If you have a question, you can probably just call and ask somebody who knows The Hunger Mountain beer guy is pretty friendly and accommodating, so just call and ask him.

 

When does Beverage Baron get their allotment?

 

When you call, find out what day the Friday drops will change to. If you're staying close to Waterbury/Stowe...Stowe usually gets their Heady drops on Friday, with a travel partner you could pick up a few or more 4/pks along the Mountain Road depending on who is Open.

Check twitter. Type in 'Heady Spotter". It'll give you the delivery low down on every place that gets HT.

 

We're staying in Stowe. I kinda want to get a full case in one location because I'm going with a few friends and don't want to have to go on a wild goose chase for it. I struck out completely last year when I went, so I'm hoping that I'll at least be able to get some.

 

So I just bought tickets to see the Gaslight Anthem in Burlington on the 22nd of June (a sunday) and I was wondering if there's any hope of scoring Heady on a sunday or monday. It won't be the worst thing in the world if I can't find any but I figure it's worth a shot since i'll be in the area. Also, what else from Vermont can I grab while up there that I can't get in Maine? Second Fiddle has been sounding really great and I know that Lawson's is a definite no-go.

Very challenging week, as you've experienced. I'd almost guess Monday will yield better success. Do the calls and let us know what stores say about their Friday and Monday drops.

Like flashy wrote, check baron for Monday, maybe snag some on the way home if they're getting their reg Monday drop.

Shoot for a Monday drop? Might have better chance, call those Monday locations.
Worst case, message me a week before and I'll try and save a couple 4/packs. We have family in town for the 4th and they crush my heady allotment.

Thanks, man. I'll definitely shoot for a Monday drop, as long as the delivery isn't too late. I had a feeling that HungerMtn could be receiving their shipment on Thursday. I'll have to see when the places in Stowe are getting their allotments. And I'll keep your offer in mind. Thanks!
