Why is only Alchemist beer available in Mass Celia (gluten free). Is this just old bottles sitting around?

I'm not sure on how many times, but Celia was contract brewed in Mass with direct supervision by Alchemist (i.e. he brewed it himself on their system).

Celia is distro'd (contract brewed with much larger capacity), HT is not.

End of Jan/Early Feb, HT production will be tripled and distro may be able to expand ...

There have been several batches of Celia brewed since its introduction earlier this year. There could be some old bottles sitting on the shelves, but most of it should only be a few weeks old.

Distro may expand, but I doubt it will get to MA. I think they'll be working to re-enter VT markets they had to pull out of. Which is tragic for our state.

I thought I saw some recent Boston area Heady Topper sightings on twitter or am I crazy? Wait, don't answer that.

Alchemist Twitter pretty recently referred to hoping to get to MA distribution but that they had no idea on timeframe

No I haven't seen bars selling it for $9/can at all recently. Seriously. Do not even bother asking the bartender if they have it. The definitely do not. They might even insult you by giving you a disdainful, silver, 16oz stare.

The last batch of cans to hit(that I saw) MA bottle shops was probably 6 months ago (that was the second round of the "one offs" that I saw at stores.)

If you can still find any of the first batch of Celia on shelves you can probably bribe John K. into trading it for a case of Heady.

I also specifically observed this not happening recently.
