Just a heads up that Alchemist's Focal Banger will start being distributed in NYC starting tomorrow or Wednesday. As if our distribution wasn't already incredible....

Well..I think union used to distribute alchemist brews once upon time...so i guess its plausible...

I call BS given Kimmich has basically said they will never expand their footprint even to Southern VT

Gingerman has had Alchemist cans available for on-site consumption a few times already.

I get one offs but think the original post was suggesting something more regular, maybe I just read more into it than intended.

From distribution, though? I know some bars use gray market sources for beers like this , especially for special events, but I didn't know that Alchemist cans have been delivered officially.

Not sure who delivered it but they had it for their 20th anniversary, bootleggers ball which had a ton of breweries not available normally. I imagine Alchemist would be using an established distributor just because of logistics, if what the OP says is true

It's a one-time drop for the holidays. You will not see it after that.

The Alchemist has previously sent a couple kegs or 1-2 pallets of cans to distributors outside of their normal area for special one-time events. This has definitely happened in Philadelphia and I've heard similar stories from Boston and NYC. Don't expect regular distribution of Alchemist beers, though... once it's gone it won't back for a long time. I consider it John Kimmich's way to support the VT tourism industry, to remind you all that VT's beer and other attractions are only a short drive away.

I heard the same thing from my local beer shop. Something in the neighborhood of 400 cases of Focal being dropped in/around NYC for bars/restaurants only.

You should go anyway because Stowe is awesome and you can also hit up Fiddlehead on your way up.
