I gave up beer for 12 days recently while spending time in Sicily. It was real nice to fall back in love with wine, and since my return my beer consumption has decreased approximately 50%.

Does this serve me better? Nope, as wine tends to get me looped rather quickly, but it was a nice reminder that beer is not the be all and end all.

Beer may not be the be all and end all but it'll do 'till something better comes along.

220 with 10% body fat? Unless you're over 7' tall, that's a shitload of muscle mass. He references body building... ahhh. But still, your starting % fat is where I want to finish (20% give or take). Are you a Gladiator? Or just when you're drunk?

Hehehe . . . yeah, it's a little hard for a lot of beer people to fathom, but I was a bodybuilder before I got into craft beer, so I had a fair amount of muscle mass before getting into the obsession.

I do this once or twice a year, with a "mulligan" day - that is one day out for 28 to have a few. This keeps me sane, esp if there is a lot of great ,limited releases (my fomo can be a little silly sometimes).

I'm currently do a bodyfat % loss challege so beer is out for a month, with the exception of a couple 4oz. pours. If you've been training and dieting hard, that 4oz after a week or two is amazing!

    I'm back!

This was overall a very good decision. I'm actually surprised at how much I din't crave beer or alcohol in general. Bad part was that I had bought several IPAs, which probably are past their prime now.

    Cheers

So, why did you buy them. If you're a freshness freak, and in the middle of a dry stretch, why would you spend money on a product that you know you won't enjoy?

I decided to stop when I saw this thread, which was after buying them.
