Ale Asylum - New Beer

I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you. Who would have thought?

I really hope Ale Asylum takes the evident reaction to heart. They make some great beers, but it's going to take some time and effort to build up the kind of reputation required to support the successful Darkness / Dark Lord type of event they seem to be aiming for.

 

Price reduced from $40 to $25.

Hey man, I was barely alive when that article came out.
Anyway, I'm a metal head, so I wouldn't necessarily disagree with you if you honestly thought they sucked.

 

I live Primus, but I could do without Claypool's painfully long bass solos @ live shows.

As for metal - Cowboys from Hell was released today, 25 years ago. Probably before you were born

 

I was definitely head banging to that when I was 2. True story.

 

Is High Coup out yet or has it been delayed? According to their schedule it was suppose to be a July release but I've heard nothing on it.

 

Heard they scrapped it, they weren't satisfied how it came out. Next release is supposed to be Subcultcha(sp?)

 

The Ale Asylum guys are at the Malt House now, pouring free samples of both dissent & descent.

 

They were pouring it at the end of the Great Taste. Taste buds were shot by then, but neither wowed me much. Just another RIS.

 

Agreed, they are both really good, but i would take founders ris over both of them, especially for the price. But if anybody really wants to try them before deciding on bottle purchases, the option exists.

 

2016 Schedule is out

 

No Pantheon? There are so few good Imperial Brown ales, and that was such a good beer. Am I the only one that liked it? Had to make room for a few more IPAs I guess.

 

Well, there was no sticky mcdoogle this year, so no pantheon next year. I enjoyed pantheon.

 

No you aren't. But as was stated, Sticky is a nice consolation (Contorter & Bamboozleator would've been too). Until it gets bumped in 2017 for an IPA anyway.
