Should I be concerned about crowds next Saturday when I go in and pick up my allotment? Never been there before....

The 22nd? Yes, you'll get trampled by the hoard leaving the V014 pick-up.
The 29th, you'll likely be greeted by friendly locals.

Also depends on what time you go. At opening is usually mellow, but it gets progressively more busy as the day goes on, then tapers back down late at night.

Dammit...I forgot about V014. I may try to go on Sunday instead then (yes, I will be there on the 22nd...probably late afternoon with the hoards of other people).

I have the afternoon session for Veritas 014. Planning on going to Alesmith when they open. Still shouldn't be that bad.

Hey guys, just a heads up, Alesmith double charged my CC for the BAVSS so may want to check your statements.

Brown Paper Bag did, if you hit refresh. I called CS and they reversed it.

You guys think it's safe to assume Alesmith is open regular hours today? Also anyone know if they're baby/kid friendly or not? I think I need to take advantage of this day off to go get my bottles. Haven't been since I had my kid and can't recall seeing many kids around there...

Call them first but I would imagine they are open today. I have seen kids, babies, hell even a newborn (few months) in there. Not sure what it is they can do there aside from maybe get a drink from the food truck (when it arrives) but yeah they are more than welcome to come inside.

You could always take the advice of Drift... baby cage.

Social media has been a lot quieter since a certain person left the building.

There was a small period in time that they didn't let in kids (after the accident at Stone - safety issues), but that wasn't for long. I suspect they were waiting for a clear message from who was their provider of liability insurance.

I picked mine up last friday and there were a handful of kids there, that shouldn't be an issue. The newsletter they sent out on 12/31 lists a food truck for today so they are open but not sure of the hours.

I don't think I heard about that, what happened at stone? (unless it is the forklift accident, but I don't think I could draw a line between forklift and baby).

Maybe they were playing forklift catch with a baby because Greg took away their football?

While not anywhere near likely, I wouldn't put it past our population.

    Yes, the forklift accident.

It would be very easy for a kid to dart into the brewery under the swinging bar top, where there often is forklift traffic.

Thanks of the responses guys - had a great visit down there today, had the BAVS on tap and I'll be damned if it wasn't one of the best beers I've ever put into my mouth, just amazing. Made a couple other stops at Societe and Council both of which had wonderful beers and amazing service - all around great day of beer drinkin'.
