My post was made on wed. =P But only had time for tasters, a burrito, and a fill. Had to get back to take care of work things.

Agreed, though 3 i believe is enough for one.

Are Wednesdays ever a good day to pop in and maybe find something unusual available in the tasting room? I think that's when I'm gonna head down to pick up my HHSS and Port Wee bottles.

Wednesdays are always the special grumbler fill days. Sometimes there will be a special cask on as well and usually they put something that pairs with randall tuesdays on and that tends to last through to wed.

For those going to the pickup tomorrow, Grillfellas will be there serving up "Tomorrow. At Alesmith. New specialty smoked pulled pork with a new coffee rub. Oh and Speedway Stout infused." as well as the Gwynn mobile serving up their food. Might be a 3rd, but not sure.

Grillfellas said they will be serving from 11:30 - close.

Was kind of annoyed that they wouldn't let me pick up my bottles without tickets in hand (phone was dead so couldn't go electronic). All they do is look at your name, check the big book, and box your stuff up. Oh well, I'll be down in SD again in another couple weeks.

IIRC they sort it by the ticket number rather than your name so finding your name without the ticket number is not that easy.

BPT releases were always sorted by name, then they just made sure the ticket numbers matched.

I missed the pnb viet by about an hour yesterday. I heard they were out a few days ago, otherwise I'd of gone there earlier in the day. Maybe I can swing by today before I leave.

So how was the Hammerhead tasting?

I thought hammerhead was very good, strong espresso flavor.
I loved the port wee heavy. I've never had a port aged beer, was quite unique

Alesmith has always required having the ticket number/order confirmation. Nothing new here.

It is also still flowing in the tasting room as of close last night, along with Hammerhead deconstructed blend 2.

What a coffee/espresso bomb hammerhead is IMO, love it. Glad limits were removed.

Problem for me is I am booked solid for the next month or so, so pretty much no shot in getting down there to pick up any bottles.

I preferred blend 1, I felt it was heavily coffee forward. Reminded me more of the coffee punch in the face of double hammerhead.
