Not sure how many saw this but this Thursday 6/19 starting at 5pm, alesmith is taking over taps at O'Brien's. Specialty casks, rare drafts, and barrel-aged Speedway Stout. Specialty casks: Summer YuleSmith and Jamaica Blue Mountain Speedway Stout. Draft: Vietnamese Speedway Stout, Lil' Devil, Summer YuleSmith, IPA, X, Horny Devil, Olde Ale, and others. All beers on tap by 5 p.m. Barrel-aged goodness: For the first time ever, three vintages of barrel-aged Speedway Stout together at the same place. This is the tradeoff for not doing the Zillion Speedways there any longer. Should be fun, and mellow. San Diegans are starting to eschew events.
