Anyone know what year this one is? I could not find the date on the neck.

It had a very light silver wrap around the cap.

I know it isn't 2015. The 2015 version doesn't say "Ryan Bros" on the label. I'm assuming at some point in history the label changed.

Please dont take my response as a confirmation.....but im pretty sure that was the wording of bottles up through 2012....i think they changed it to "Imperial Stout with Coffee" in 2013.

So either way, i think you may have a 3 year old bottle at earliest. I bet thats drinking pretty well, like a fudge brownie.

Thanks for responding. From what I experienced via taste, I think at least 3 years or more is likely accurate. I definitely was getting stale flavors like wet cardboard.

This beer is way too awesome fresh for me to cellar it. Does anybody have any good experience with cellaring it.

Every old bottle I've tried has been less than stellar. I only buy/drink them fresh.

I bought a few bottles back in March 2013 to cellar. Cracked one at a tasting in March 2014 and it wasn't very good compared to fresh. All 4 tasters thought it lackluster.

I cracked another just last week, so close to 2.5 years, and it was much, much better. It had a very low carb, bordering on concerning, but the flavor was great. The girlfriend agreed.
