According to the Fullpint and Beerpulse, Alesmith beer will be in Michigan in the next 30 days. Distribution by Powers and Imperial.

The Midwest distribution of Alesmith needs to get much better in terms of freshness. For example, they're double IPA is showing up in Chicago this week with 4/28 bottling dates.

Michigan will see quite a few new goodies in the coming months. Excited about Alesmith just for that Speedway alone.

Exactly. None of the Alesmith we see in WI is all that fresh, but it sure is nice to have Speedway on the shelf all the time.

I doubt if it will hit Monroe County, but fortunately they have been in Toledo, OH for years!

The best non-BA Imperial Stout for year-round availability (at least in SE PA) and flavor!

Speedway is $11 a bottle in NW WI. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you won't likely see any distro of the BA Speedways (or other BA Alesmith for that matter). They are ticketed releases, sold on BPT, and you pick them up at the tasting room in San Diego.

This is fantastic news - Speedway is one of the best year round imperial stouts out there.

While we won't see BASS or variant bottles, I'm sure kegs will make their way into the state in due time. Looking forward to getting pours of the coffee versions on a semi-regular basis.

When Alesmith first came to WI they sent the BA Speedway and some other BA offerings. They didn't move quickly due to the $30-35 price.

I only ever saw BA numbskull here in NW WI. And a $35 bottle of BA barleywine was too rich for my blood. I would have picked BASS in a heartbeat though, had I come across it. I love the regular version.

BA version will only be available at brewery in San Diego. Never seen it distributed.

Is Speedway stout necessary when we can get FIS and Bells Expo anytime?

It is if you like coffee in your stouts. Blows FBS out of the water too, IMHO.

Nothing in the Grand Rapids/Wyoming area so far, but if it is showing up out East, then I have to assume we'll be seeing it soon here. On the upside, Cascade finally hit Grand Rapids today (Apricot, Blueberry, Cranberry, Kriek, and Strawberry so far).

I thought Speedway tasted a bit too ashy.

I like their distro for their draft variants, since landing in MN less than a year ago we have seen kona speedway, viet speedway, hammerhead speedway, Hawaiian speedway, etc!
