    Just left the Alesmith tasting room and was talking to the beer tender. Alesmith is coming to NC! Hell yeah. They have a rep in Raleigh as we speak trying to lay down the framework.

    Also, confirmed in my local bottle shop... Mims is working on the distribution stuff, and Alesmith is finalizing the label approval with the state as we speak.

    They are moving to a larger facility soon. The one they are in now is relatively tiny for what they are doing. Nice peeps. Alway have loved their stuff. Had some 2013 barrel aged speedway on tap and some 2014 on nitro. Damn good stuff. Glad to be able to get it easily soon.

    BA speedway stout is in NC as well. Good luck finding that in the coming weeks, apparently it's going to go for around 50 a btl.

    The other forum I check out (Midwest) is discussing whether the $40-$42 its going for there is too much or not. $50/bottle is cray-cray, as good as it is (and it is good).

    Grabbed a barrel aged wee heavy for $30 at the taproom. Not sure if I'd pay $40-50

    You know how rumors go, but I also heard (from the same source that told me about Alesmith) that FW was also making plans to ship our way. Of course, this was some time ago, and I have not heard anything since.

    Bottles showed up at Ridgewood this morning. I think Beer Study mentioned tapping some Alesmith today too.

    Looks like they have distribution to the following counties with Mims Distributing:
    Chatham
    Durham
    Franklin
    Granville
    Orange
    Person
    Vance
    Wake
    Warren

    The ABC site is a bit of a pain so I couldn't find a way to just see all the counties where Alesmith has a distributor, just took a look at the biggest counties (Wake, Guilford, and Mecklenburg) and my county (Hickory) and Wake was the only one that had a hit for a distributor (obviously that also distributes to the counties above, but I didn't check them).

    Without checking every county for a distributor, I'm betting that those are all the counties with distribution so far.
