Alewerks Lovers Greed

    Anyone make it to the brewpub to try this? If so how was it? They say it will see distro but I'm just wondering if I should seek out a bottle before that since they are one of my favorite breweries.

    went to the brewery for the release on sunday, it's good.
    some will hit distro but the brewery didn't know how the distributors would allocate it, so if you want more than 1 bottle you should probably go to the brewery (limits of 2/per)

    Hmm hopefully the stores around me that carry alewerks will all get bottles so I can make the short rountrip to each and pick some up. I would go to the brewery but its 3+ hours from me.

    this is going to be very limited so I'm not assuming anything with regards to distribution, hence why I went to Alewerks for the release sunday to guarantee I had bottles. luckily I'm in Richmond so it was only 35 minutes drive for me.

    I'm curious what bottle shop prices will be. at Alewerks they were $15 (500ml)

    Had it on tap at the release on Sunday. It is good, it's not very complex though. Interested to see how the carb is different from tap to bottle, I'm hoping the bottle conditioned version is better.

    If my local store does score some bottles I can only imagine they will be 20$+, seeing as they charged like 15$ for cafe royale

    Yea I refused to buy it, thankfully the store a mile down the road charged 10$ for it.

    Well done getting CR at $10 a bottle, I picked up a few from the brewery and they were more than that.
    Looking forward to trying a bottle of Lovers Greed, couldnt make the release but someone kindly picked me up one.

    My local store got lovers greed in today. Scored 2 bottles at 16.50 a piece.

    Lovers Greed is a really good sour. And it was $12 for cafe at the brewery but total wines put it and BBP on shelves for $8.99. This I will never understand.

    the taproom will almost always be more $$ than retail shops. there's generally a no undercut agreement written into the distribution contracts, at least in VA.

    Finally tried one of my bottles, way better than the force carbed version. Killer beer.

    It wont hurt it, I think I know where you are going to get it from (Country Store) and I wont buy any from them, I picked it up at Murphys last week for 2$ less a bottle. There is no reason why they should be charging so much when you coulda went down the street and bought it for less.

    Bistro rarely gets any Alewerks stuff, picked up a bottle at Throx, Murphy's got it a week earlier and was gone in a day or so...I think I've worked out a trade for another lovers greed and latest release of BV...need to ship lovers greed to a buddy in Raleigh for the double barrel Mexican cake he got me...
