I picked up a sixer of this recently in IL and am really enjoying it. Maybe better than Centennial. Perfect grill beer. Any idea when this will start seeing distribution in Indiana?

Great beer indeed. Not sure it beats Centenial. A definite drinker though. Can knock em back one after another.

I was pumped when I heard this was coming out. We get pretty much all Founders releases here in Va. but no All Day :/

IMO it doesn't come close to being better than Centennial, but it sure is a really nice brew....could easily go through a sixer of it in no time at all....very drinkable

    Good hops, thin body.

The body is on the thinner side, I will not argue that at all, but it is not watery. I can handle a thin body just so long as it avoids becoming watery.

I really enjoy the beer. I would take All Day over Centennial simply because I take Two Hearted over Centennial. All Day fills a void in my beer drinking choices, fills it quite well too.

Exactly what I was going to say, very nice flavor, but I definitely found the body very thin.

Was just wondering this myself (when/if it will hit Indiana) after talking to a buddy from Ohio raving about it, hopefully IN is just a little behind...I've only tried a couple sessionable IPA's and can't wait to see how Founders pulls it off, I'm sure it's great.

I definitely find this as a go-to beer. Great nose and taste, but it really falls off at the back of the tongue for me. It's a bit of a tease. For a session beer, I really prefer Shorts Prolonged Enjoyment. That stuff is incredible.

It's supposed to be thin. Dave Engbers said in an interview that they intended it to be drinkable and thirst quenching after doing outdoor activities like mountain biking, camping, etc.

As for availability, yeah, Founders just can't keep up right now. Even in MI it's still tough to get and clears the shelves pretty fast when it does show up.

My place in Michigan , south of founders hasn't had any for over a month . I had a keg back in Febuary . But alas no more. Also no Wanderer , prolonged enjoyment . Been trying to get kegs of low abv ipa's for months now. Seems strange that at this time of year it seem to be all gone

    Cheers

I have had bitters and milds in England at < or =3.5% with more body. Just had a 4.3% ABV German Helles last night with more body. These are beers that you can drink many of and not get filled up.

They can't keep up if they can't get the hops. What is in the recipe? If it uses Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo or Centennial they are in short supply for commercial quantities.

I think All Day has the best hop character for a session ale that I've ever tasted. Does anyone know what the primary hops are? Citra? Centennial? Both? And are there comparable session ales that I may not have have tried out there? Not a huge fan of Bell's Oarsman, but I haven't tried Prolonged Enjoyment or Wanderer. Any thoughts?

I understand that you can have more body with low ABV, but if you're going to be outside in 80-90 degree, humid (typical Michigan weather in July and August) weather, on a beach, canoeing, biking, etc. The thinner body is more pleasant to drink. Founders wanted it that way.

They are very secretive about the recipe, but you can certainly taste a lot of Citra in there. I'm sure that is a big part of the supply issue seeing as it is a very specialized new hop that is all the rage with craft brewers right now.

In Evanston (Chicago suburb), All-Day is spending TOO much time on the shelf. I was about to pick some up yesterday and saw the bottle date was 2/15-ish. Now that's a bit too long, but I did have some 2+ month stuff at a friend's place and it had held up pretty darn well. That's something that is always good to know about a beer.

In fact I would rather drink the lower ABV ones I mentioned, as they will dehydrate you less. Under 3.8 or so ABV you don't have that issue. Body is not all of the picture. Those flat and warm beers on handpump in England don't fill you up, as there is not the CO2 gas to bloat you up.

I found it watery, but all palates are different.
