All grain pale ale. HELP!

    One last tip that I screwed up on first my first brew, take copious notes. Write down every step, every temperature, every time you do a step etc.

    Not to discourage anyone from building from distilled water, since that's what I usually do, but you can remove chlorine/chloramines with campden tablets if the water is otherwise suitable.

    I have read chlorine can be removed through carbon filtering as well, chloramines not so much.

    That's why I recommend Campden. It covers both, and it's easier than filtering (unless you're already filtering your household water).
