I'm doing a research paper for school. I'm having trouble nailing down an actual number of breweries in operation in Minnesota at the present time. I'd settle for breweries in operation in 2012. An actual list with an actual number is required. I am very acquainted with many of the more popular brews (Surly, Summit, Lucid, Lift Bridge, Schell's, Cold Spring, Bent Paddle, Fitgers) but would like to have a vetted source to put in the bib. Thanks for the help.
I'd compare the list above to this one. http://www.mncraftbrew.org/member-breweries This is not complete as I believe that there are a few breweries in the state that are not members of the brewers guild. However, most are.
