In this month's City Paper, includes detailed stories of some local breweries and a poll if you like those sort of things... http://citypaper.com/news/big-beer-1.1569077
I'm not exactly sure I understand what he means by the section I bolded. I definitely think that we can support a more concentrated beer scene, since I see the current one as being miniscule (at least from what I've heard of other regions). I enjoy it as it is though, but we will see how I feel about it after BBW. After this site, I get confused on what people mean by volume (I think Macro, since they can be had for cheap and are low ABV, so people drink a lot of them) and high ABV (that would be most craft beer now, but high ABV is above 8-10 for me). I wasn't sure if he was still referring to beer with the high ABV remark or if he was saying that people here prefer wine, spirits, and mixed drinks here. Is he referring (underlined) to brewery only items, like stuff at Brewer's Art or Pratt Street Ale House? Because there is nothing in MD that I don't seem to run across everywhere, except for Burley Oak stuff and Flying Dog Rarities.
