    With news that Lakewood is expanding operations by 50 percent and will have several new seasonal/one-off beers soon, I figure a thread to keep track might be nifty. I searched and couldn't find a Lakewood thread.

    They'll soon have their first in what they call the Legendary Series, Brabo's Cut. A Belgian-Style Dark Ale, ABV: 9.4%, IBU: 27, SRM: 21.

    It's tasty. It starts off like a typical milk stout. Then the chocolate comes in and tells you why it's better than the rest.

    Does anyone know if Spec's Midtown will be getting Lakewood Brewing on a constant basis, or if it was a one time thing for Texas Independence?

    I have been wanting to try some Temptress, but I'm offshore and won't be home for another week and a half and figured it will all be gone by the time I get back.

    Its everywhere in large quantities, especially Whole foods stores. You'll probably find it without difficulty.

    I heard that like the DE, the Lakewood is just a one time guest thing for Spec's Texas beer month.

    When I was at Spec's Midtown last night and was looking at the stack in awe, one of the beer guys told me, "get it now while you can, once it's gone, it's gone." Knowing their employees, that may or may not be true.

    Oh yeah, Spec's tweeted earlier these beers were guests.

    Glad to see this thread going. Everyone I've met for the Lakewood team has been so friendly, outgoing, and happy.

    This is really good news. Hopefully you are correct and it will still be available. After everything I have read and heard about this beer I'm eager to get my hands on some.

    I was at their Sat tour a few weeks ago and Wim talked about the potential for bottling this, as well as the legendary series. Sounds like an epic plan!
