Yeah, you are most likely correct. I was hoping he noticed my post was about Houston.

Worst case scenario, I will have to drive to Dallas to "visit some family."

I don't know if I'm going to be traveling anymore down there. I got an ever so slight promotion that changes my duties. Maybe we should just work out/finish a trade sometime soon?

    Yeah, we can do that.

I really need to visit you DFWers though. I haven't seen Chad and Cory in a long time!

I had my first Temptress last night. As I posted on Untappd, something was wrong with the cap. As I popped it off, I could see a LOT of buildup around the bottle-mouth, and something brown that was not quite rust up under the cap. Obviously the cap had been compromised, and it ended up giving the beer a strong, metallic taste. Ended up dumping half of it.

I'm hoping it was just that one bottle - I'll report back when I have another. I'm really excited about this beer, so hopefully this was just 1 cap issue.

Half of it? I don't think I could've taken one sip. It was definitely the bottle and not the beer.

Hay Merchant tweeted they're tapping Lakewood The Temptress on Monday. Hopefully it's not an April Fool's joke.

I had my first Temptress the other night and I have to say it is delicious. I could drink this beer year round if it was available in Houston the entire time. I know there was still a couple cases of it at Spec's Smith St. last weekend.

Folks, if you go to Chicago House in ATX right now... I'm sitting here with a Temptress Nitro that... according to the waitress... the owner himself bussed down from Dallas.

    And fuck, is it good.

The second of the "Legendary Series," La Dame du Lac, will premier on May 30 at The Common Table. Biere du Guarde. Here's a video description with a ghost story!

Just found a Brabos Cut at Specs. I see a few mentions of it but the only review on BA discounted it bc of bad tap lines. Who has had this and what should I expect?

I wasn't a fan of Brabos Cut or Till or Toil. Those are the only two Lakewood beers I don't have absolute love for. La Dame lu Lac is excellent.

I agree, their second best beer behind temptress. I hope they decide to bottle it in the future.
