No indication on batch size, but they are typically very open on social media if you ask them directly.

So ... How is Along the Way? I don't often get FOMO. But I've got FOMO (Yes, it has a lot to do with "I like their beer," but also equally, "If it were any other time in recorded history, I'd have gone up for a bottle"). Anyone heading up to grab some?

I plan to get one or two bottles this weekend if they are still available. I've had my eye on it since it dropped. They are also dropping Little Sal and cans of Saison Violette, a blueberry farmhouse ale. Beyond these releases, they just added new beers to their small batch growler series. Gonna be dropping a lot of money on beer this weekend. My Allagash bill alone is gonna be bad. Hugh Malone is available in cans this year too. Sheesh. They're killing me.

Suuuuuper excited I'll be at a birthday party for a one year old instead of drinking any of these beers this weekend. Good luck on the Along the Way. It's still listed on the site. Isn't it amazing to have a brewery of Allagash's caliber that no one really feels the need to drop everything and go wait in a four hour line?

The one year old birthday is definitely still an adult party. Get wrecked! Two or three years and beyond is when those selfish kids start making it all about themselves.

People lose it over a 3 year anniversary IPA that is just slightly different than every other beer put out by breweries but don't care about a 25 year anniversary complex barrel aged mix of wild ales from a brewery that has only a handful of equals.

I was planning on taking a drive and pickup my Mott the Lesser this next week, looking at what's available at Allagash I might have to keep driving north. I've been avoiding anything with sours or Brett because of past stomachaches but I think its time to confirm that its only kettle sours that make me sick (and aren't good anyhow). I'm willing to take the risk on the 25 year anniversary beer that is a real sour.

Did you see the beers available in growlers? Jesus. Pretty much all new this week, with Interlude still available from the last couple of weeks. 32 oz. of Interlude for $18. And that isn’t even close to the most interesting beer they have in growlers this week.

This is why I stopped even trying kettle sours.

I've said this before, but I loathe the kettle sour trend WAY more than the New England IPA trend.

There's so many breweries that open and have, "New England IPAs, pastry stouts, and kettle sours".

These monotonous tap lists are looking like the micro boom of the 90s....wheat ale, porter, IPA, pale ale, amber ale...lather, rinse, repeat.

Unfortunately I feel like kettle sours will go away, but they will be replaced by...hard seltzers.

I'd much rather have that 90's tap list than NEIPA A, NEIPA B, NEIPA A dryhopped with C, NEDIPA A, ...

I am with you 100% on this. I will be fine with it being replaced by hard seltzer because at least that would mean that consumers are admitting to themselves they don't like beer.

I feel like this is all my non-beer friends drink now.
    If I must...

Enough with this nonsense: There are usually hard seltzers in my fridge (I'm partial to White Claw, but Hoot is really good and so is Maha).

Let's get back to Allagash. They've always sneakily crushed it on brewery-only releases. Not meaning packages, but stuff on tap. Not surprised they've begun to offer them in growlers.

    That's cool man.

That being said, if they ever produce an "Allagash White Claw", I'm out.

Not to mention the pending law suit they'd have on their hands...

Has anyone tried Saison Cascara? What are your thoughts? They currently have to go kegs of that and Sixteen Counties and was debating whether I'd take the risk of a Saison I haven't tried from them.

This is kind of like going to the Playboy Mansion and picking a random girl’s name off the list to go on a date with.

    It’ll probably be ok...

Hugh Malone is drinking great. This is now a 6.8% abv beer instead of the 8+% abv beer it once was. I prefer this new version. Was the recipe change made this year? Before? I don’t think I’ve had it in a few years. Very good.
