Allagash Coolship Red Release?

It is not currently part of their production schedule. It hasn't been a big seller in recent years. They do, however, make small batch beers for tasting room consumption. But since the tasting room is not open for pours right now, they've been packaging small-batch beers in 32 oz. growlers for to-go consumption. Right now, they are selling growlers of a dubbel, but I don't know if it is the same recipe as Allagash Red. The small-batch stuff can change, sometimes in a matter of days.

 

Are you referring to Coolship Red? If so, the last release was on 1/19 from what I can tell. It's typically a yearly release, so I'd expect to see it sometime this year. With everything going on I'd be happy to snag you a bottle when it does get released. Cheers!

 

Good work. I totally misread that. I thought he was talking about the Allagash dubbel, which I believe was called “Red.” But I bet you are indeed right. I’m sure he means Coolship Red.

 

Self-correct: Allagash Dubbel was never called Red, just Dubbel. And even though Coolship Red isn't available at the moment, they almost always have one or more varieties of Coolship avallable. There are several different ones available right now.

 

Last three releases were in August 2017, May 2018 and January 2019. Not much consistency. But there was an Instagram post in September of last year showing their raspberry harvest for Coolship Red. So a release should be imminent unless something went wrong with the batch.

any guesses as to when it will actually hit distro? Where in MA is likely to have it?

 

According to their outstanding gram it’s being released 8/7, so I would guess within the next couple weeks. And if the distro was anything like la mure it shouldn’t be too hard to find somewhere like julios or crafted (I didn’t check yankee spirits but I’d imagine they got it too). Wegmans in Northborough still had coolship peche last time I was there a couple weeks ago.

Has anyone seen Coolship Red in stores yet?

 

It hasn’t been in my weekly email from the distributor yet(I assume it would be in it since they had both coolships la mure and peche listed when they were released) so I’d imagine at least another week. With that said I’ll see my sales rep tomorrow and I’ll ask about it and try to get more information.

 

In Mass it appears to be only in a handful of Trader Joe’s right now.. hoping it hits Yankee locations, or CBC stores

 

Talked to my sales rep today and she said they didn’t get it yet. So hopefully next week. With that said if it was highly limited it may have been allocated and already gone out. But it did not show up in their computer system which is a good sign, so fingers crossed I didn’t miss it.

 

Coolship Red is going to TJ’s?! I would not have thought to check there

 

I was at the TJ's in Framingham this morning and they had a couple cases worth.

 

I am trying to think if the TJ's is Shrewsbury even sells booze. I haven't been in a while but I swear they don't.
Are there some that don't?
The Whole Foods down the way definitely does. They even have a bar upstairs.
