I usually don't post these events on here but they have a great lineup and I plan on going after work today.

    some of the standouts include:

    Old HLT
    Respect Your Elderberries
    Bourbon Black
    Confluence 2011
    Interlude
    Victoria 2011
    and Saison Mihm

    is anyone else going?

Respect your elderberries! Nice! Loved that beer at EBF. Old HLT was pretty damn delicious too

I'm totally looking forward to it and my father after an event last year became the biggest Bourbon Black fan ever hahaha

The Iron Monkey can suck it. The owner is the biggest A-hole in the business and maybe the world. Doesn't respect his employees and second guess and thereby undoes and ruins everything that they do. These awesome events that happen are planned months in advance and by the time they happen the person who put in all the hard work has long since been fired for no real reason. They don't know how/refuse to regularly clean their tap lines. I know I am not the only one who knows these facts and feels this way. Boycott this bar and realize that Barcade had these same beers with maybe 1 exception just a few months back. Oh and some guy by the name of Rob Todd also was at Barcade. I am not an employee of barcade or in anyway affiliated with barcade. I just think as far as jersey city goes its a much better place to drink a beer.

I can promise that at least one employee was fired without reason tonight. The owner once bragged to me that halfway through the year he had already fired 150 employees. And yeah some of them sucked and shouldn't have been hired in the first place. But some were doing excellent jobs. He's now been through 3 beer managers in less than a calender year. So I ask of you BA community. Were they not good at their job? Or was the owner a giant tool full of cocaine? And I'm sure he'll see this post in a few days and angrily freak out and try to have it taken down. I personally witnessed him doing the same thing with yelp and then telling employees that if they didn't go on yelp and post 10 positive reviews each under different names that they would be fired.

Can't tell you how many times I've had problems with advertised specials only to be pulled when I get to the bar or some of the grossly overpriced beer they've had ($11.50 for BA Ten Fidy? Really?)

I'm more than happy to give my business to Barcade. All the guys over there are top notch and make it feel like a neighborhood bar regardless of how packed out in can get on Friday/Saturday,

I'll never forget playing there years ago and having to ask multiple times for a fork, then for a napkin, and maybe some ketchup, for the undersized overcooked chicken sandwich and soggy fries that was the "band meal" thrown on the table in front of me. I'm not looking for special treatment or even a great meal but a little respect and common courtesy.

Interesting to hear about the owner, I've been in so many places like that, particularly in NJ, over the years. Was considering heading over tonight for some rooftop Allagash with my fiancee but maybe I'll steer us someplace else instead.

They were selling $19(!) 5 oz. pours of KBS last month around the initial release. Screw those guys...

That is absolutely insane. I'd never give that place a cent given what heads have said but the pricing is out of hand. I'll boycott that place no prob.
