Had a bottle of 2013 Allagash Interlude this past summer and thought that it was an outstanding wine barrel aged saison. Curious if anyone has cracked a bottle recently. I found another bottle, the other day and I am curious how the brett has developed the beer over time.

Had one at Thanksgiving. Hasn't changed much since I bought it last year, slight funk from the brett, nothing stellar though, yet. I have a few more I am sitting on.

good to know, was the red wine character still pretty strong?

Def. which I personally enjoy. Very vinous. Hope it sticks around and the funk grows.

Had a 2009 last year. Like carbonated red wine. Absolutely love that beer.

Love this beer. I bought a 2013 case to cellar and see how it develops over the years - drinking a couple each year and comparing it to fresh ones. Allagash recommends aging it out to 3 years. I've had a couple vintages at the 3 year mark in the past and they are amazing.

That seriously sounds amazing! So is it pretty safe to say that this beer ages really slow and doesn't loose much flavor as it ages?

I honestly can't say. This will be the first time I have bought multiples to sit on. I found it on the shelf for 8.49 a bottle so I bought them all. Even told the store they had it priced wrong and they checked the order sheet and distro had it priced wrong so they let me have it at that price. I was excited.

Happy to read this. Got a couple tucked away. I really enjoyed it fresh and that was the first time I had it. Curious to see how it goes.
