Has anyone seen this around Boston? I went to Boston Wine Exchange yesterday and they said they were expecting it "soon" but hadn't received any yet. I know it's made its way to some bars, but is it in any stores?

I got word a week ago from a shop I frequent that they were told it would not be until the end of April.

Its in central NH. N Woodstock to be exact. I know it does not help but my brother is skiing at Loon and picked some up. Why is it taking so long for MA distro?

No idea. I was quite surprised when I told it would be another month until available. Really looking forward to it.

I have never seen distro so bad when its a New England beer. O'well if someone really wants it they can make a trip to NH or ME.

    I wouldn't worry. It's a year-round, non-limited offering. MA will have plenty.

Odd distribution - it is available in Athens Georgia $9/four pack.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to try it fresh or anything.

Plenty in the Beer Store in Nashua NH. Only a few miles from the MA border....

I've heard a couple weeks of bottle age really turns this beer to shit...

I'm joking, it's a stellar saison and I'm pumped its year round. That being said....its year round.... I'm sure if the first 4 pack you see is a month old, the next one you come across will be fresh. This whole "I will only drink beer from the fermentor's spout" thing is getting a little ridiculous.

It's an excellent saison. Very drinkable, delicious and tasty.

Is this a tart/funky saison (Saison Bernice, Arthur), or a traditional saison (Saison Dupont, Hennepin)?

    More traditional.

I like this beer. Surprising that no one else has really capitalized on the simple, bone-dry, pale Saison a la Dupont. Everyone else has to gussy this style all up, but not Allagash. Nailed it.

Traditional, like a crisper Dupont, if that makes sense.

Especially considering it's a freaking SAISON...a style that, if I remember Beer Geek 101 properly, was brewed to be laid down in a cellar for an extended period.
