Allagash Sour Releases

Will start popping up in the next week or so.

 

How long should it last. One of my favorites but I work tomorrow

 

It's been a long time since an Allagash 375 release sold out on the same day. I'd imagine you'll be fine on Sunday and probably early next week as well.

 

I would agree here. I spoke with someone at Allagash today and they informed me that they produced three barrels of Little Sal this year compared to two from last year. The limit last year was two per person though.

Welp I stand corrected. I'm guessing Bissell's last day and the (too high imo) 4pp limit contributed. Coolship Red lasts a month and this goes in 1.5 hours..shrug

 

Little Sal & FV13 are the only bottles that will run out on the day they are released.

This is based on experience. I've been to every release since Jan. 2014

 

Last year's Little Sal was 1 PP IIRC. And pretty sure 2014 was 2 PP and sold out in about an hour give or take.

Last years release lasted a couple days because it was in the middle of january. Once tourist season hits Maine, no beer Allagash releases lasts more than a week.

 

Not too sure about that. Last year's release did indeed last a couple days, however I believe both releases have been in May. The 2015 Little Sal has a 2/26/15 bottle date so don't think it could have been released in Jan. Not sure what the attributing factor would have been other than 2 barrels made in 2015 vs 1 barrel in 2014 w/ a limit 1 vs limit 2 respectively. Meh...it's all semantics. At the end of the day, we all be like...woooooooooo Allagash sours...get in my belly!

 

Does anyone know what's going on with the latest batch of Cerise? It was bottled the same day as Red back in December I believe.

 

They dropped it during the wild beer round up which was in january. Its not semantics, its the seasons and its a huge difference here in Maine.

 

I'd anticipate a release sometime between now and July based on past releases, if it doesnt get dumped like the 2014 batch.

 

You're mistaken. Little Sal was released in May 2014, May 2015, and now May 2016. Just searched the Allagash Facebook page, it's easy to find.

 

My bad, when they release multiple sours all in the same day it all blurs together. It DID last more than 1 day though last year, I am not mistaken about that.

Yes it did. Emotional Honey was the release for Wild Roundup 2015. Drove through a damn blizzard for that one.

 

BTW Little Sal sold out by noon.

 

Why'd they dump the 2014 batch? I've been thinking about this recently since it's my favorite coolship. Seems like it's been awhile...

 

How rare are their sours? Are they released oftem? Really looking forward to them.
