How many Golden Brett and Midnight Brett releases have there been. Release dates / bottle dates?

I think you are going to have a hard time finding an exact number. There have been a lot. They seem to pop up at least every 6 months or so, some announced, some unannounced. I was just at the brewery a couple weekends ago and they had some on the shelves. Not sure if these were new or from an earlier bottling since I didn't buy any.

The extra Golden Brett drops lately have been from the same batch released in February. I can dig up dates later.

Does anyone know when Allagash stopped wrapping their 375's in the paper packaging? As far as I know I've seen Gargamel, Vagabond, and Avance Batch 1. Did Victor Franc (or any others) have it?

    Vic franc had a wrapper

The next 375ml release after those four may have been Vrienden which I don't remember having a wrapper.

I've been getting Allagash beers regularly for the past few years and I've never seen wrappers - am I missing something or is it just my timing?

They were only done for their very first 375 mL releases (the ones listed in the previous two comments) which were circa 2009 and 2010. The first batch of Avance had it. I think chronologically, that would have been the last one. I think it was bottled in 2010 though I'm not exactly sure since everything from Vrienden and earlier wasn't bottle dated.

I think (and I could be wrong) the chronology for the first ones went:
    Gargamel
    Vagabond
    Victor Franc
    Avance B1

...followed by Vrienden which is when I think they stopped using the paper wrapping and was the last bottle before they started dating. Though I have no idea when Mattina B1 fits in there since it was never released and not bottle dated either.

EDIT: Coolship Balaton and Coolship Red were both 2010 date stamped. This makes me think that Vrienden was indeed bottled in 2010, was the first to not be paper wrapped, and was the last to not be date stamped. Unless any of you know if those two Coolships were wrapped...then eff everything I've said.

Anyone know if Coolship Resurgam is still available? I'll be heading up that way on Friday and would love to snag a bottle or two

Ed, I was there on Sunday. It was quiet and there was a ton left. I'd be shocked if it didn't last this week too with the holiday. Give them a call to check availability. That's what I did preceding our trip on Sunday.

I'll be in the area this weekend and hope they run the same tastings special as last Black Friday. Bring in non-perishable food items and get a complimentary full pour out back. There were a few limited options (one bourbon barrel ale and one wild ale).

Speaking of Resurgam: Allagash was pouring cask conditioned Resurgam using a beer engine on Saturday morning. That was something special. Another breath-of-fresh-air bottle release from Allagash. The new patio looks great, too.

Anyone who's gone recently, what 375s did Allagash have for sale, other than Resurgam?

I don't know if this is the appropriate thread but had an Evora and Hive 56 tonight; former was sublime and the latter was disgusting - char, chocolate and smoke mixed with a vinegar acidity. Flavors that should not be combined. Not even close to strawberries amd tropical fruit as described. Anyone else have similar experience?

Nope. Got no smoke / char. Got big honey notes, slight dark chocolate and kind of a lighter acidity. I thought it was a honey bomb actually. Am really sensitive to the char / smoke flavors and I didn't get that.

There was a ton left Wednesday evening when I was there. You should be good.

I bought two cases of resurgam and I opened the first bottle last night. This beer is damn near perfect. By far the closest thing to real Belgian gueze I am aware of (maybe backacre too). I can't wait to see how it develops over the next couple years if I can manage to keep myself from drinking them all.

I find it curious that they list all the coolship stuff as best within two years.
