Just noticed today that BA shuffled around the styles. Changed Interlude and Confluence from wild ales to saison and belgian strong dark, respectively. This happened yesterday I think, and I only noticed because I had been reading them. I think they also changed a couple of the cool ships as well.
Edit: maybe BA was just correcting to the Allagash site, because they're listed as saison and strong on there.

I haven't had them, are they sour at all?

I haven't had Confluence. However, interlude is super winey/tannic with a sour edge if I recall. Allagash calls it a saison, so I'm probably just blabbering.

Probably just correcting. The folks who enter a beer the first time don't always get it correct. :-)

Both beers are innoculated with their locally found brettanomyces. They are funky but I don't think of them as wild ales first and that descriptor creates an expectation for a lot of people that Interlude and Confluence don't usually meet.

This is correct. The attempt was to make them consistent with beers like Matilda, Saison Vautour, Orval, Fantome, etc. which are not 'wild ales' but simply Belgian styles that tend to have Brett in them.

Site Editors often correct styles that are incorrect (I know that I do).
