Almanac's new California Table Beers are now out in 4-packs ($11 at Healthy Spirits, fwiw), and, halfway through my first bottle of the Extra Pale Ale, I think I already like it more than any of the 750s they've released so far. It's nice to finally have a beer worthy of their great design. http://www.almanacbeer.com/2012/08/california-table-beers/
Hmm, neither of those sound particularly appealing to me, but I'll probably give them a shot at some point.
Yeah, I'm real skeptical of the honey saison. But I'm pretty pleased with the EPA. It's definitely unique and really well made. Fresh as it is right now, they did a nice job matching the oranges to the C-hops. @arbitrator: Your wish is my command: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/24940/84648 (I gave it a 3.78 -- finish doesn't quite live up to the rest of it)
I'm incredibly skeptical of citrus in beer, I'm not sure I've ever had one that wasn't a drainpour. I guess we'll see.
I'll be shocked if you find it a drainpipe. You might not like it, but I'd be surprised if you hate it.
I'll definitely be checking these out. I've had some good stuff from Almanac before but the price/format of the 750s was a bit prohibitive. Especially interested in the honey saison, as I shall be brewing something similar soon.
