I've gotten a few of these in trades (I live in Boston) and I liked them and would like to try a few more. I'll be out in San Francisco for a couple days this week. How hard to find are beers from this FtB series? Anywhere in particular that might have them? I looked at their website and it looks like it's just an office with no bottles for retail sale.

Thanks for your help and please bust my balls if this info is somewhere obvious. I couldn't find it anywhere.

Almanac sours are pretty easy to find. Any decent bottleshop will have a few varieties

They are all over the place in Los Angeles so I don't think you'll have a problem finding them at any decent bottle shop

Awesome. That's good news. Thanks, fellas. Any favorites I should be on the lookout for?

Bourbon Sour Porter and Farmers Reserve Citrus are both great options.

Beer Rev in Oakland had Devil's Advocate (hoppy sour), Dark Pumpkin Sour, and Dogpatch sour when I went by tonight. Whole foods should have some, probably City Beer Store in SF as well.

You might be able to get them in your neck of the woods too.

@bevdaddy hit me up if there's anything particular you're looking for and can't find on the shelves. I live in SF and have extras of most of the Almanac releases from the past year.

They just started distributing to NY if you ever end up there.

Just stay clear of Sourdough Wild Ale and you'll be fine :stuck_out_tongue:

Can't like this enough. That beer was so bad.

You'll probably just be finding the 2 or 3 most recent beers from them, but that ain't bad. I recently enjoyed Tequila Barrel Noir, but have seen one or two others that I haven't tried yet.

The Sourdough was my least favorite for sure. I really liked the Farmer's Reserve Citrus that I had a couple of weeks ago. Generally can't go wrong though.

Health Spirits on Castro has Citrus, Dogpatch Strawberry, Dark Pumpkin Sour, and Heirloom Barleywine in stock (all at $12.99 per) according to their beermenus which is usually pretty accurate.

The Wine Club on Harrison has Cerise Sour Blond and Dogpatch Strawberry (at $9.99 per); again... according to beermenus

Give 'em a call before making a trip to confirm.

Farmer's Reserve Citrus and Valley of the Heart's Delight were my favorites.

I could not drink much of the dark pumpkin sour. I just couldn't find any pumpkin in it.

Yeah that one wasn't my favorite. The Heirloom Pumpkin Barleywine was pretty nice though.

The Sourdough was pretty bad fresh, but I just opened a bottle last week and it wasn't too bad. The hops had mellowed a lot and it had a nice tropical Brett profile.

I also thought that Sourdough at release was a trainwreck. Refreshing to hear there's hope. Might need to dust off the remaining bottles in the cellar!

Agree that Valley, Citrus and Dogpatch Sour were the top 3 releases of the last year. Farmers Reserve 3 was the standout from the previous year. Although I just opened a bottle of FR#3 last weekend and the fruit had fallen off considerably.
