The former was terrible, the latter was very tasty (and still was as recently was 6 months ago).

 

when did you have it last? i brought poppa skull to DLD last year and to all the people i poured it too, they really enjoyed it. they said when they first had it, it wasn't the best. it was my first time having it, when i brought it in, and it was tasty. didn't have the latter though.

 

It has been a while since I've last had Poppaskull. I do have a bottle left in the cellar hoping the cardamom would fade. Could be just me as I wasn't a fan of Liftbridge Commander either (another cardamom spiced beer).

I'll give it a go in the near future her to see how its doing.

Ya I loved pop skull and was pumped for a quasi different, slightly barrel aged version, and I was dissapointed. I still got a poppa left but I fear it's not any better then it was 3 years ago. I actually have no idea why I'm hanging on to one.
