I'd say it's worth it once. Then you can decide whether it's worth a 2nd time. It is pricey but it's really good.

My son brought some bottles from Carrboro, and they were quite good. These are good beers, but nothing better than I can buy any single day.

My guess is that they haven't received the product yet, or are "working" on getting it into the system, so to speak. I had several over the weekend that my son brought by that he bought in Carrboro, so they have shipped here (N.C.) The beers are good. What does DNS mean, do not ship?

That was a term the driver used with the person at Bestway - said it was related to ALE not approving it yet??? Which seemed confusing as it has shown up all around the state but the Triad (Charlotte, Triangle, etc).

Don't know. If it's approved for the state, all's good. Sounds more like an excuse, more than a real legal one. Sometimes with these large companies there is no urgency and stuff sits around a bit. I could go on about chiefs and Indians, but methinks that's bad form.

Looks like it is finally hitting the Triad today.

Another shipment hit the Triangle yesterday and today. Paid $6.99 each for Duet and Hoppy Birthday.

I keep wanting to try Pure Hoppiness but the 6ers are like $17. Maybe I'll catch it on tap somewhere eventually.

Hey!Beer in Wilmington is filling growlers of Pure Hoppiness- $9/32 oz, $18/64 oz. They had it in bottles too, not sure about now though.

    Damn good IIPA!

Not sure where you are located in NC but I might have an extra from a sixpack of Pure Hoppiness... (I'm in the Triad). Send me a PM and we can discuss it further if you are in the area.

Anyone know why Alpine still hasn't shown up in Asheville?

Hey I somehow missed this post, I definitely appreciate it man but I actually went ahead and split a sizer with a buddy last night. It's pretty damn good I must say. All of them are. Although I still think Nelson is my favorite. I'm in Raleigh btw. Cheers!

I'm not surprised since a lot of distributors keep certain breweries from entering our market when they're available in the rest of the state (Great Lakes, Troeg's). To be honest, since Green Flash is distributed by Budweiser, those are two companies I don't really care to give my money to so I'm not really worried about it. I had Hoppy Birthday at a share and it was pretty good but not worth the prices I've been seeing mentioned.

Keep in mind that, at least in NC, not all Bud distributors are owned by Bud. It looks like Asheville's is, but other areas of the state aren't.

Yeah I was thinking about that as I wrote it but obviously it applies to my market so my feelings remain. There's just so much good beer to choose from here (which I realize is probably part of the reason distributors decide to allocate brands to markets in other parts of the state first) that it's kind of easy to shrug off the fact that certain breweries' beers don't/won't come here. Ya get so spoiled living here :flushed:

You do definitely get spoiled, especially when Boone has Alpine (saw it in Peabody's Friday), so they can make it that far west. At least you aren't Hickory; smack in the middle of the Triad, Charlotte, and Asheville, gets probably the worst distro of the three. Its still only a handful of breweries that we don't get though, so pretty happy. I've seen what distro is like in other states...
