Haven't seen any ISO/FT threads for it, so I'dassume either no one wants it, or willing to part with it. (I've tried searching and even that returned very few threads that it's even mentioned in) However, with the 130 wants vs 29 gots, it is obviously desired.
I'm looking to trade my last bottle for a comparable bottle, but have no point of reference to ask for it. I'm not trying to maximize on it, I just want to try another stout that I wouldnt otherwise be able to trade for. What would be a reasonable trade for this?

It's was a great beer when I had it on tap at the brewery. I know the first bottling had infection issues. People might not be interested in taking a chance that this bottling is also infected given Alpine's recent track record with barrel aging. You could easily trade it for a nice stout from a different area though.

I haven't heard of any infection issues with this batch. The other bottle that I drank had zero sign of infection, or any issues the previous batch had.
I loved it when I had on tap. I made a wet spot in the seat.

There were no initial reports of infection with the first batch either. Took a bit of time to develop. I'd give it 4-6 months.

I split a bottle with another BA less than a week after release (the recent batch), it tasted fantastic. Had another about a week later and it was a butter bomb. Both were kept cold the entire time (with the exception of the hour drive home). Have two more, hoping the second was just a bad bottle.

Yeah, after the first Odin's and the recent BA Token there's basically no way I'd give up anything but locals for an Alpine BA beer. I hope this one turns out to be fine, because if it's also infected I'll have very dim hopes for Great.

Ah crap. Looks like I'm holding onto and hopefully enjoying this bottle then. Knowing that, there's no way I would trade it to someone.

Is Great being released again soon? Don't think I have ever heard of an infection issue when it comes to this beer, only that it's delicious.

Yes, they recently brewed Good and some of that is destined to become Great.

I had one about 2 weeks ago from the new batch. Not buttery, but there was pretty much no barrel flavor to it at all. Decent stout, but would have never known it was barrel aged. Do not give up much for this one.

That is great news (pun), thanks for the info. Hopefully they nail this one.

I'm going to have to say that I drank this right in time. It's still drinkable, but just sitting at the threshold of being a drain pour. :slight_frown:
