Alpine Brewing Thread

I've been toying with the idea of heading down this week. It has been months since I made the drive actually. Reading through this thread has sold me like always... Is Wing Wednesday still a thing?

If anyone wants to hop in the carpool lane let me know haha. coming from south oc hopefully late morning, and plan on being back up south by 3:30 ish.

 

What day were you planning on going?

 

I am cruising down again this sunday around noonish/1pm. That poutine, so addicting (especialy topped with a fried egg and bacon).

 

You are over thinking this. You spent money there on food and beer first, didn't act like an entitled douchebag, and they had plenty of beer on hand. No problem!

 

Well, I didn't exactly cheer for the Chargers when they won either. Of course I was feeling great, nice workout before, a nelson constantly in my hand because rock-climbing = burning hands afterwards so the cold beer makes it that much mroe fantastic. Plus.....poutine and the girl didn't finish her baked beans so I got those as well. It was rather difficult to leave the barstool since I was happy full and could have kept drinking HFS until close.

 

He's not over thinking it. He is under thinking it. There were two people on the tab and he got 3 bottles. He could have gotten 4. Jesus christ people…..

Anyone have any insight as to how busy the place gets mid week for lunch?

 

Not a concern.

 

Help with the question or stay out of the conversation. It normally isn't busy mid week at all you should be just fine.

I think the second sentence of this post should be "sorry HeavySpeedway; didn't mean to jump on your case."

Seriously, I did have a few other sentences saying something like "on most weekdays it is not that busy at lunch time; you may have to wait a few minutes for a table but there are always spots at the bar or to have a beer out back while you are waiting." Must have hit an errant delete at the wrong time...

Special bottle release, all bets are off [grin].

 

Went for wing wednesday the first week I moved here in late Oct. and there was a small wait around 12/1230. Went to the brewery for a bit and came back closer to one and there were plenty of spots after the lunch crowd left. But holy crap, it's not just a wing, it's basically a whole chicken.

Thanks to all of you. I have customer east of sdsu so I am going to strategically leave my afternoon free for some beer. It's that, or just take most of the day off and make a day of it haha.

 

Anyone care to speculate (or offer legit intel) on the small mention of a probable "sour before Christmas" on the Alpine FB page?

 

Legit? No, but I still think it will be called Chez Monall.

 

Strawberry/Kiwi was the word I got the other day. Can't tell when it would be released as I got the usual "it's ready when it's ready" but at least I got the flavor.
