Alpine Brewing Thread

I don't mind the halt since it is them putting in new gear.

 

Whoever manages Alpine's FB page posted that the Full Pint story is wrong and that they're business as usual. Whatever "usual" means these days...

 

I didn't read those one-sentence postings as the Full Pint story being "wrong," just that the pub and tasting room are operating as normal right now. Am I missing something?

 

I took the "Don't believe everything you read" part as saying the story was at least partly inaccurate and the "we are open and running better than ever" as suggesting they're still brewing. But maybe not.

 

Sounded more to me like they were playing semantics and being less than transparent. Not that they have a history of that or anything.

 

I noticed that Keene Idea is back on the top 250 after being retired (seemingly). Did this get rebrewed recently?

 

Shawn from Alpine posted today that they're still brewing at capacity. I guess the Full Pint story wasn't so Full after all ...

 

They halted a bit in order to set up their new equipment.

 

Probably long overdue since they closed down the tasting room portion of the brewery and moved it to the old pub.

 

I'm just hoping it means Shawn will make Bad Boy and KI again soon and allow for growler fills. Been a while since I drove up the hill, but those would have me there in a heartbeat.

 

Is there some kind of social media I can follow that says what beers are being released for growler fills at the old brewery?

 

If you go to Alpine's site they will have a webcam. It should say whats on for fills and whats availble in bottles.

 

Just no prices on the board, still..

Had Windows Up on draft over the weekend and I thought it was pretty damn good...for Alpine...or is it GF? Good enough to go get it in a 6pk. Is Windows Up HFS? Just renamed? Is Alpine going to can their IPA's?

 

I think Windows Up was Hop Boxed, but I could be wrong.

 

@Brent212 is correct, it's Hop Boxed renamed. If it's in a six pack, it's not coming from up the hill.

 

It was Hop Boxed originally until the legal lawsuit. Anything that gets into mass production goes to gf facility.

 

Went from Hop Boxed to Unboxed (for about a month) to Windows Up.

 

Had the windows up in bottle last week, actually pretty solid as far as green flash goes
