Man, page 5 sure sucked to read.
I missed out on the last Chez release. Anyone know details on whichever Chez was the previous release? Date, how many cases made, how many sold, bottle limits per person, how it was sold, how fast it sold out, etc...

Mmm, the early evening run to alpine to get that nelson for myself and the family to enjoy on the 25th. Better yet, going down there with my mule, uhh, I mean better half to help. Yay.

Chez Monus. Mid-late October 2013. 2 per person. Line-up and buy. I think it took a couple of days.

Finally gonna road trip to the pub in a couple weeks. Anyone know whether cask offerings are a constant feature or just occasional?

From my experience...occasional since I have never gotten one. But I usually only head down on weekends or on a tuesday evening when I see them bottling Nelson the day before via spying on them with their own webcam. Buahahahahaha.

"Occasional" would be overstating it. Like the Reaper, I've never seen anything on cask up there. I did have a tangerine Nelson on cask at Green Flash, when they were celebrating the first batch of Nelson being brewed there.

Bummer -- I had visions of cask Nelson dancing in my head. On a related note, any other ideas on SD breweries with consistent cask offerings? AleSmith is usually good for a couple, no?

Yup, Alesmith usually has 1 or 2 casks running. New English always has at least 2 casks running, and they’re always good (the owner apprenticed in Britain). Obriens pub always has a cask beer on Thursday night.

At some point in time, it seemed that Toronado would have a cask or two up, but lately it hasn't seemed as regular. A lot of breweries (e.g. Modem Tones) and bars (O'Brien's, Hamilton's) have cask days.

I've been going to alpine around once a month for about 8 years, and I have never seen a single cask beer. Do they even have a hand pump "cask tap"? I've never seen one....

Beer engine, and yes, they do, although they haven't used it much lately.
