Buuut, I already purchased the beer. It was the picking up aspect, and I did have plenty of proof that I was over the age of 21 and who I was. The earlier mistake just makes it more confusing as if it was a sting operation, they would have already failed/been fined.

Either way, I do have it noted that I can pick it up after the window time frame of pick up, so when I do get my ID back, I'll hit them up and see what they have to say.

 

Around 1:00 pm, no line. Few people were inside the brewery.

 

Just got back, grabbed my bottles a bit after 1 and sat down with some friends at a table in the pub afterwards. wheelzntoys was probably right in front of me, unless that wasn't you getting growler fills.

I would say maybe 1/3 of the boxes on the floor were empty, but I didn't ask how many boxes or bottles they had. One of them seemed a bit annoyed at the release and told me he wish he could give me a case just to end the sales early....if only...

 

Well guess Pat let us know his feelings about BPT after the refund "scandal".

 

Good point, I for one am happy about releases like this.

What I want to know is what Alpine to seek out

But really Duet is tasty as well. It's just no Nelson.

 

This is why we can't have nice things.

 

If you can still walk after consuming all that Nelson and a couple Duets...finish off with a Hoppy Birthday...just because.

 

Hoppy Birthday brewed at GF is a shadow of the Alpine version, just drink Nelson all night.

 

of Nelson, Duet, PH and HB...which one did GF screw up the most and the least?

 

No lines right now, quiet pub if anybody cares. Sounds like they're expecting a scene tomorrow, starting before doors open.

 

Very good point. I take my comment back then unless you can confirm it was brewed at Alpine.

 

Dude is in New York, they're not getting anything that was brewed up the hill.

People on facebook were asking if it would be a BPT. Response from Alpine, "NO BPT". Yea, I guess you could say they might not be feeling it.

 

Someone also posted only 100 cases...so 1200 bottles at 2 per person. Not sure if Alpine will hold any back for special events or something.

Based on roughly 600ppl getting bottles, I would expect this to make it into the evening tomorrow. My original guess of not even until tonight I suppose was way off.
