FWIW I was there yesterday and asked about their SDBW plans. They said they'd likely be releasing some Ichabod, BA Odins Raven and Expo bottles throughout the week. Said they weren't sure yet though. Didn't sound like anything super rare though, but who knows.

Public House La Jolla just tapped a full keg of Hoppy Birthday (and Kern River Just Outstanding)

Go back to bed and rest, I was told you were ill and wanted to share the bottles I brought to EAH with you. Max got to try them, he can tell you all about em.

Nooooooooooooooooo, unless that means I can pickup Nelson 2 miles from my house and not 35min away then maybe yay.....maybe.

There goes the great Alpine IPA's & their other beers down the toilet. If that is the case. IMO. Not the same coming out of GF. Close but no cigar.

Maybe for distro'd stuff (though the stuff I've had has tasted fairly spot on), but surely the stuff at the pub in Alpine won't change?

agreed, it tastes different, seems to be more carbonation to me. Hopefully they keep brewing at Alpine.

Wait, those tweets use the name "Alpine Brewing Co." Our beloved Alpine is Alpine Beer Co.

As long as they keep brewing out of Alpine yes. But if they decide to close it down and brew strictly out of GF then I will have to say it won't be as good as coming from the source. I haven't bought GF beers in awhile. I think since they have expanded their beers are not like it use to be. Nelson is probably the strongest of the 3 ABC beers coming out of GF plant. Sure we are seeing more Alpine kegs in our favorite local spots. But for those who don't go to the source and get the bottles/growlers/pints from there then you won't know the difference. Even minor. Standing by to stand by.

Wasn't Alpine already trying to get another space like a few blocks away from their pub? It would seem weird to go through that and then still have GF buy them.

They signed a lease for a new pub, but the current brewery was supposed to remain intact. We'll have to wait for some sort of comment from Pat to know how this affects that plan.

I'm guessing that this move was to help finance the plan.
