Any idea when Keene will return?

 

Alpine just posted today that it will be back at the tasting room this Tuesday the 19th w/ growler fills.

 

KI was really delicious. The new pub is great. Prices on the food menu went up in $. Tuesday tacos were $12 for 2 tacos and a side. HFS, Fireman's Friend, Single Cut and Odin Raven was all solid. They are doing fine with the new iPA's. It's a trip going inside the old pub and seeing the change to a tasting room. All the better for ABC.

 

This batch of Keene is ridiculously on point. Fireman's Friend is solid (makes me want to go try more BNS brews)....

 

Shush... I need the growler fills to last until Thursday. This batch was made by Green flash. Move along. Nothing to see here.

 

I know I keep going back to bottled Nelson, but I had another bottle of the may (maybe 24th) expir. date. This bottle was by far the closest to an alpine bottled nelson. I would go as far as to say that if I had not known green flash was in the mix, I would not have thought twice about it being a normal original alpine release bottle.

Going to contact GF as well with the batch # and serial number and tell them by far this was the best attempt.

 

Keene Idea is off the charts bomb. Fireman's collab is also damn good. Tap list is incredible right now. (Single hop citra, HFS, PizzaPort/Beachwood Joint Venture). Now would be a great time to hit up Alpine.

Ps-Nelson bottles in stock taste like awesome Nelson. And no limit. Glorious times indeed.

 

Hard to tell from the webcam... But is Keene idea still available for growler fills?

 

If you zoom in you can see it's at the very bottom of the list, but it does appear that is still there.

 

It was still available for growler fills yesterday afternoon, got one myself.

 

Any speculation on a return of Kiwi Herman ever?

 

Tomorrow they're releasing Mosaic and Citra Hopped "Hop Boxed" at their tasting room for growlers and pours. It's on their facebook page!

 

They have something fruited in the barrels....not sure what though, mostly because I haven't really asked.

 

What's the best by date on awesome Nelson bottles? Just in case I come across them

 

Should be a June date.

 

I've luckily enjoyed some of the Alpine brews out east prior to the Green Flash sale. Consensus seems to be that since the sale, Green Flash, for lack of a better description, has ruined Alpine. Since the majority of people on this thread are closer to the source, thought it would be a good idea to ask your opinion...

There's a store nearby that has some Nelson and Pure Hoppiness.

The core beers are not the same but going to Alpine is a much nicer experience with a larger pub that is not a shithole and with an actual tasting room where you can enjoy tasters or a pint.

 

Those beers are on point right now. Enjoy.

 

I know it's been said before, but the taplist at the pub right now is incredible. Hop Boxed and Keene Idea are off the charts delicious. HFS is also amazing. They also currently have the Beachwood/Pizza Port collab, Joint Venture, which is, again, delicious.
