Thanks Drift.. Yeah I got two and was wondering how it wasn't sold out yet after how fast expo went online. I know people are pissed but after standing 3 hours in line for expo a year ago and watching no regulation of line cutting and no promise of it running out, this is better.

 

If by on sale tomorrow you meant today, already sold out on BPT.

 

I sort of hate this method of beer distribution. Am I alone in that?

 

I love Alpine being Alpine even when they BPT a beer.

 

Yes. If you were there for the great BA Speedway debacle of 2010 or whatever, you love BPT.

 

Thought they were sold out and seen one so I grabbed it. Refreshed and there was still one available so I got that, too! Go me.

Or any of the recent pre-BPT Alpine releases, for example the last Great release. Goodbye weekday.

 

I love this method actually. Prevents me from having to go wait in line and worry about being cut or it selling out and me getting jack. I wish all breweries did BPT releases.

 

I have another 2 in my cart and was waiting for the better half to get hers. She did..releasing now, start F5 spamming.

 

Best part is they released it hours before they even announced it on Facebook so everyone was confused. Their Facebook post said release is on Thursday at 8am. Had to check my calendar as I'm pretty sure it's 1:30pm when I read the message and it's a Thursday.

@SDReaper I think they are no longer doing standing in line. If Alpine weren't so far away they could pull it off but I think enough people were pissed at getting shut down. Expo was BPT this year and I think that's the future of how it's being done. Once again mad thanks Drift!

 

June 2011, and entirely agree. I'm out of town for the entire pickup period but I have no problem missing out on beers when I don't have to put any effort into it. People can bitch about short pickup windows and lack of notice all they want, but the alternative is that Pat would've just woken up one day and decided to put it on sale at the brewery, first come first served, and you would've been shut out anyway.

 

And now there's a flood of BA'ers throwing it on the trade forums before even trying it. That's California traders for yah. Can never play it cool.

 

It's just mule groups making the most of their purchases.
