Alpine Nelson distribution question

I've heard something along the lines of there are only a few Nelson Sauvin growers in all NZ and the one that supplied Alpine/Green Flash has severely limited their production and may eventually sell the land.

 

Expo, HFS, Keene Idea, Bad Boy, etc. are all still brewed by Alpine. Thus the better quality in general. Though I recently had a growler of Keene Idea (Double Nelson) side by side with a GF Nelson bottle, and the Nelson held its own against its big brother.

 

I'm pretty sure I saw it over the weekend. I picked up Aurora Hoppyalus which is awesome. Beer menus is not showing the 6 packs of Nelson at this store but they don't always keep their list accurate.

This place also had cases of KBS so either I'm damn lucky or a good liar.

 

None of you guys saw Nelson six packs. Sorry. They don't exist.

Interesting. I had Keene Idea when it came out a few months ago and thought it was incredible. Just got a growler of Nelson and thought it was extremely underwhelming. These GF batches are wildly inconsistent. I've had some really good Nelson from them and some really bad.
