I can confirm that Superior Liquors has it. Was told they received around 5 cases.

Picked up three yesterday (as well as turning on a random fellow shopper to it). Tried one last night. Oh boy. HYPE TRAIN, LEAVING THE STATION! CHOO CHOO!!

Incredibly wonderful. Nice full body. I thought the nose was pretty muted on the one I tried, but the rest of the ride was pure excitement. Can't wait for everyone to get some...

Davidsons has it! Finally! Can't wait to pop that cap! Also found Stone 16th there for the first time anywhere. Now if I could only find Stone's Enjoy By IPA...already feels like that 09.21.12 date is coming on too quickly...

nevermind about the Enjoy By, didn't realize it's only been released in SoCal, Chicago and New Jersey so far...sure hope we get enough votes to bring it here! Vote at http://www.stonebrewing.com/enjoyby!

I heard we might get it here regardless of vote during GABF.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but the Super IPA is on tap at Falling Rock.

Will be in Ft Collins Friday (flying into DEN tomorrow) anyone know if they are still filling growlers at the brewery? Bottles there too? (Haven't been since 2006)

Picked up a bottle (bomber) Thursday afternoon and am currently sipping on it now. MIGHTY tasty and I might be in the minority but I don't see it as a "hop bomb", plus I feel like the alcohol is hidden fairly well.

I didn't catch it at the store but I got nabbed in the wrong item/price ringing up for a Super IPA.

I was at Colorado Liquor Mart and bought 2 Super IPA. Got home and the receipt said I was sold 2 Biere de Mars. Fortunately it wasn't a big price difference with me being charged $6.99.

My guess would be you didn't get nabbed by anything. They probably just don't change the name in the computer under that barcode. Price would be the same for the lower LOF series at the store and therefore they just leave it.

I might have thought that but the guy told me it was $5.99 before I bought it.

Then that makes no sense, unless he was mistaken. Silly barcodes.

Just now catching up on this thread. I'm curious to which Russian River beer you'd compare Brett Beer. I'll admit, Brett Beer wasn't the craziest beer we've ever made but you shouldn't go into the beer thinking it'll be sour. We used ZERO sour beer to brew Brett Beer. We 100% fermented it with bretta. That doesn't mean sour. The first time, the brett didn't take and wouldn't ferment. Finally, the second time, it worked and we got some fermentation outta the damn stuff...and some amazing flavor as well. Super pineapple charecter. Have you tried Lost Abbey's version? Anyway, I just wanted to clear the air on expecting any sourness from Brett Beer.

Side note: We sold Russian River one of our best foeders ever (full of our 15 year old inoculate) to help start their sour beer program years ago. Try a concecration next to a 100% felix sour next time we package one. Pretty amazing.

    Cheers!

Actually I *wouldn't* compare Brett beer to anything from Russian River. Theirs tend to be part of the sour spectrum, where Brett Beer definitely isn't. I know Brett doesn't need to be sour. I believe the first brett beer I ever had was the NB Biere De Mars (the old one from the mid 2000's) and it definitely wasn't sour.
In terms of Brett beer, I actually think it needed some tartness. Not necessarily from the yeast, but from something else. Not sure how similar the Peach Porch Lounger recipe is, but to me it reminds me a little of the Brett Beer with that sourness I was missing. I know everyone tends to incorrectly think Brett = sour, I was just thinking that Brett Beer needed some sourness to it. I had another one maybe a week or two ago and "Brett Maibock" is definitely pretty close to what I think of the flavor.

Trying for the first time. I get a tiny bit of Simcoe in the smell and taste. But then i get hit with a very nice floral flavor i have never experienced before and i have had many IPAS..
