Alpine still worth a visit?

In my opinion, yes, going out there is no longer worth the time.

 

When all they do is post bingo events at alpine to attract customers, that's when you know it's over n done with.

 

I thought bingo is a senior citizen thing?

 

last time i went they had a SDSU event running, some hotties tho

 

rumor has it Alpine Nelson is on tap.

 

It was on tap this past weekend.

 

Did it taste like the real thing?

 

Finally got ahold of a 6pk of Truck Trail cans. Opened 1st can Friday night. Thought it was good for a pale ale...until I opened a can of Spaceship Earth (another pale ale) right after.
Just finished my 2nd can of TT. Still good.

Can anybody decipher the drink by date or is it a born on date on the bottom side of can. It reads 7248 1 1228. I'm thinking 1228 is drink by dec 28th?

 

The 7248 could be the canning date, with the 7 being for 2017 and the 248 being the 248th day of the year, which is September 5th. The 1 1228 is probably a batch number or code.

Incase anybody is wondering.. Bad boy on tap and * I'm assuming is for growler fills or DO? No bottles tho

 

og bad boy was Bad Ass back in the day.

 

Anything OG from Alpine was good back then, the last BB(GF version 2.1 ) I tried was a pathetic shell of its former self. As you would say, Alpine,zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The Bad Boy bottles they did last year were fantastic.

 

Which beers are still brewed at OG Alpine these days? Just one offs?

 

That and typically any special releases they've been aging.

 

Saw a picture of the board and it certainly looks like a worthwhile trip up there right now.

 

Thats if you like GF brewed beers.

Never have I ever seen that board empty of beers anymore, but then again when it's made by GF it makes sense why.
