Hopefully I'll not be sacrificed to the Beer Gods for this, but I'm on a quest to create numerous variations of Vinegar's from the plethora of beers available. The major requirements are less than 10% APV and preferably around 20 or less for IBU.

As beer's, by their vary nature, have already been fermented, the only step remaining is to convert those alcohols into Vinegar. A huge range of flavors should be available even given those APV and IBU limits. I'm in the South/East corner of Erie County NY if anyone shares a similar weird interest.

    Make that "ABV" not "APV".

Hi, Craig and welcome to the BA site. I seem to recall from a number of years ago that there was a post on the topic of creating vinegar from beer but I can't find it to give you a link. So I'll suggest that you go to the Food sub forum in the Interests section of the site and create a new post asking if there are any vinegar makers, and then take it from there with any members who respond. Good luck.
