I wouldn't say regressing, maybe just going through a phase. I do it a lot, and right now, it's sours. I think everything is cyclical, and I'll probably regret trading away all my good stouts for sours, but que sera, sera...

I will not knock anyone for what they choose to drink. I drink what I enjoy and I know it is not the cheapest. I am more than willing to trade quantity for quality. If I need to go cheap on booze I will lean towards cheap bourbon or whiskey. I am open to cheap beer but have not found one I am excited by.

I still like to have a Schlitz or a PBR. I still like a good dry stout as much as I like a schwarzbier or a dubbel. There's nothing wrong with drinking what you like.

Depends on what you mean by cheap. A 4-pack tallboys of König or Bitburger Pils for $4.99 is as cheap as I prefer to get while still maintaining delicious flavor.

sounds like a good problem to have, money-wise. Embrace it!

When brewing with friends I tend to enjoy a 12pk of Moosehead. It drives them crazy!

its ok...i'm guilty of craving a Labatt Blue at times. i think sometimes its just a nice change. especially when my beer budget starts to eat into my food budget!

I think everyone`s guilty of drinking a "cheap" beer from time to time.

If I still had access to Yuengling that would be a staple in my fridge.

Is that considered cheap or just inexpensive?

I don't see anything wrong, variety is one of the main appeals in beer; the same beer (or style) over and over would fatigue the joy eventually

I bought a Lolita the other day. It was under $20, does that count?

Seriously though, prices are insane these days. It must stop!

Well in my fridge I have CW Bourbon Barrel Barleywine, Hopslam and a bunch of other nice stuff but on my can shelf I have Hamms and Molson Golden which I think have their places as much as the big expensive beers.

Maybe not as "cheap" as the OP is describing, but I got a sixer of the Full Sail LTD #04 Lager for $7.99 and it's great.

I'm drinking a yellow can of Coors as I write this. I wouldn't call it a "kick" though; it's more of a situation.
