    Hey all!

Looking for some great recs on beer bars, breweries, and bottle shops that sell rare stuff on the Amalfi Coast & Capri. Going there for my honeymoon in September. Looking to bring home some Cantillon if possible. Thanks!

Saw this title pop up in the Europe list and was relieved it didn't contain "Cantillon". Then had to smile over the imagined absurdity of a thread title of "Cantillon on Capri", which come to think of it besides its euphonious alliteration could just as well be the name of the Brusseleirs' next italo-grapey collab.

    Oh well...
The whole of beery Old Europe is Cantillon hunting ground, then, the BA and RB European forums as well, and even proud Amalfi will have to learn how to live with that.

That said: I'm not hoping you won't find any, anywhere your EU travels may lead...Just bear in mind that Jean Van Roy, pre ABINbev takeover, has praised Birra del Borgo's Rubus very highly and that might be easier to get hold of, even in Southern Italy.

i managed to find Pannepot in Como, of all places.
i would be shocked if you found anything decent in Amalfi or Capri.
    Rome? Yes (2 bars).
    Turin? lots of Cantillon.
    Milan? Yes.
    Otherwise? nope

I came across no craft beer while in Amalfi and Capri last summer. I drank wine, negronis and a few bottles of Italian sours I bought at Domus Birrae in Rome.

They make beer at MONASTERO DI S. CHIARA in Ravelo and there is a brewery called Birra Di Capri that you may find bottles of at bars in Capri. I don't know if they are worth seeking out or not.

Not the Amalfi Coast, but if you make it to Sorrento there's a wine shop, Corner Shop, that caters towards tourists and had a small selection of Italian craft beer (Baladin, etc.). The owner and his son, who may be a co-owner, are incredibly nice and very knowledge. Not worth going out of your way if you don't already have plans to go though.

I can imagine how you were going to finish your thought above (sadly nothing?), but if you discover something good, please report back because I'm likely going to be in the area next spring.

Its right in the center of the main tourist district so it shouldn't be too hard to find. May be worth asking the owner whether there are any decent bars serving Italian craft beer in the same area.

Not related to beer - if you're looking for a great spot for dinner, I highly recommend Ristorante Bagni Delfino. The owners and staff are super friendly, the view is awesome, and the seafood fresh and excellent. You'll need to call ahead, but you should be able to make a reservation pretty easily.
