I love the “expired” or “old stock” discounts on beers that are fine with a little age. I know this isn’t a hyped beer in the slightest, but not long ago the Total Wine near me was selling 4-packs of Wyerbacher’s Imperial pumpkin for $3.30 because it was going out of season. Again – I know it’s not a a beer most people care about but I love that beer and to me that was an amazing find that made my day.

Were they 15/16's? If not how old?

My local grocery store started to get a small allocation of Grimm beers early this year. When Lambo Door was released in February, most shops had strict 2 can limits per person and sold out in a few hours. Walked into the grocery store and saw a case of cans sitting there with no limit. Picked up two 4 packs (which were priced at MSRP of $5, when other shops were sometimes charging $8-10 per can). Went back the next day and saw a few packs still sitting there and picked up another 4-pack.

Wouldn't call it that amazing but wandered into a small liquor store by my house looking for some more bourbon and found about 6 bottles of Sump sitting on the shelf. Went back this past weekend and they still had 2 left.

I cant wait until Bourbon County this year and see how long they have that sitting around.

Discounting has already begun my friend. $9.99 a bottle now and the liquor store owner said if someone came in to buy them all he'd sell them for $7 each. They have hardly any craft beer presence so I'm sure I'll see these bottles drop even more in price soon.

That story could go a lot of different directions, that's for sure.

It's not a rare beer, but I found a six pack of 'Victory At Sea' for $6.99.

for some reason, one specific Trader Joes near my house puts la fin du Monde 24oz bottles on sale for $4.99 right around january. not expired or anything.

not a whale beer, but a pretty sweet deal.

Also, a relatively unknown shop 20min outside of Portland has an owner that is good friends with the owner of Degarde. needless to say they have a deGarde bottle selection that even the best shops in Portland cant touch.

Not me but I always enjoy when a random walks inadvertently into a bottle release. "Whoa, why's everyone have tr same beer? Maybe I should get one too."

    GNVP most recently.

Sixer of Avery Uncle Jacobs Stout for 18$... not per bottle, the entire sixer. I verified the price with the cashier, they said yes, so of course I grabbed it.

Went into a little, usually poorly stocked store just on a whim and found a Magic Hat Feast of Fools one time. Another time found an Anchor Our Special Ale 2001 in a 50.7 oz. bottle for $8. It was just about Christmas 2002 for that one... they wanted to get rid of it. Good times. Now trying to find Sip of Sunshine.

just got a couple '14 Mirror Mirror's for $3.69 each at a local grocery store, pretty sure they mixed the price up with bombers of Mirror Pond but it was in their computer when I asked about the price... they had some a month or so earlier for $15.99 and when I told the clerk she said its just must have been because they were old lol
