Has anyone been to this store? How is it? Its not that far but it is out of the way. Is it worth checking out? They have growler fills which most stores around here don't, but the draft selection isn't that good to me

I ended up going, the whole beer selection is setup as single bottles(in coolers) setup for make a 6pack, I didn't see any warm bottles and I didn't see any actual 6packs for sale(but you could probably ask and get one). Decent selection. I ended up getting 13 bottles and it was $38.61 but one of them was dfh 120 ($8.99). also got new Holland poet, ruination 2.0, a variety of duclaw and defiant, a few others. I'll probably go back once they have something I want a growler of

Good price for the DFH 120. How many taps did they have for growler fills? Decent selection?

I live about 5 min from there. They are newer to craft beer. They are very hooked on the make a 6 strategy. Their growler selection has been improving. In the beginning they really didnt have much. Recently they have had some maine beer co and had a yards tap takeover a week ago.

Overall a decent selection. But if you are looking for harder to get items best go elsewhere. They don't ever see any special releases either

I wouldn't go out of the way. If you're in the area maybe. The draft prices are ridiculous and make no sense compared to the growler prices.

The single 12oz bottle selection is ok if you're into that. But it's nothing you can't find anywhere else.

It's a place that's come a long way in terms of craft in the last two years since the current owner bought it. That said, I'm not really sure they know what they want to be. They're owned by people whose experience is in large scale volume oriented liquor stores, so this is quite the deviation for them.

They've gone from 4 draft lines to 12, which is a good thing. Some of their growler prices are really good, and then they toss in a 16 oz. draft of MO for $12 and it makes your head spin.

On the positive side, they're a pretty good stop if you want to mix a 6 or two and get things that are readily available. Because of the sheer amount of variety available now, I haven't been able to try everything so the store provides a good opportunity to grab 2 bottles of something instead of having to buy a 4 or 6 pack.

They aren't going to get anything super rare because they don't push out the volume, but in general the store is fine. They're doing more tastings and craft inspired events, but they're limited in what they can do because of space and it's not a restaurant. They have a Frank's Pizza next door and there used to be an agreement where their wait staff would come over and serve you at Grape but not sure if that's still in place since the ownership change.
